Heavily Soiled Steps: Carpet Cleaning Before and After
Can heavily soiled carpeting on stairs be cleaned?
We get calls about cleaning carpeting on stairs somewhat frequently, and often these calls involve carpeting that is heavily soiled by traffic, pets or spills. In this case, it was pets. These carpeted steps were soiled by dogs, over a long period of time, including excessive dog urine and other miscellaneous spills from human traffic.
Unfortunately, I was not able to get these stairs as perfectly clean as I would like. Waiting too long to address carpet stains can cause carpet fibers to become damaged, making stains more difficult to remove and the fiber's capacity to refresh will be diminished. It's important to clean stains sooner rather than later.
