Cleaning Sectionals, Sofas & Chairs

You may be searching for a way to thoroughly clean your sectional couch, sofa, loveseat or upholstered chair, but also wondering, will it actually get clean? As you consider this, price is often the next question. This may be enough to put off the search until another day. Concerns about cleaning companies, products used, safety for special fabrics and fibers, are all valid. From someone who has been in the upholstery cleaning business for decades, and been both formally educated and certified, and built expertise over many, many upholstery cleaning projects, the answers are now much easier.

Do upholstered sofas and chairs really get thoroughly clean? Yes, absolutely. The most important factor is knowing the fabric type and history: what are we cleaning? If there are spots or odors, knowing the source is helpful, and we can narrow to specific products and techniques that help get that fully clean result. Training helps here, but so does experience, and with years of all sorts of fabric and fiber cleaning I’m confident in thorough cleaning. If for some reason there is a question, I’ll let you know at the evaluation step, before you spend your money on upholstery cleaning.

Is upholstery cleaning expensive? No, it doesn’t have to be. This is a great time to look around your house and consider any other needs. We package our time, and can combine in a same visit cleaning for your area rugs, leather, and carpeting. Often the guidance is to repeat cleaning on a schedule, but really the timing is more about frequency of use, wear, and spots or odors needing special attention. Upholstery cleaning can be cost-effective and a great way to economically extend the life, beauty and comfort of your furniture.

Do you know how to clean my specific fabric or fiber type? Certainly, after so many years cleaning upholstery for clients, recognizing fiber types and knowing appropriate spot treatment, cleaning techniques and care guidance is part of my work. Occasionally there are new fabric types or care guidelines and we either are introduced to these in refresher education or through our customers. Getting the care guide from the manufacturer and matching that to appropriate cleaning products and techniques is also a natural part of the work, and is expected. If you are concerned, mention this and we can discuss.

No matter your concerns about upholstery cleaning, we can always review during estimating, to be sure cleaning meets your needs and expectations. From Keith, “Let me put my experience and expertise to work for you!”
